Primitive Old 1800's Farmhouse Split Oak Berry Egg Gathering Basket Cowgill AAFA

  

Up for sale is this really nice looking old, out of round, farmhouse basket! It has nice coloring and patina from actually being used "back in the day". The basket measures about 14" wide, by 13 1/2" wide, by a little over 12 tall. It is in very good condition for it's age.

It is out of round. I can't tell if this was made to sit at an angle, or if this is from wear over the years. Please check out the great photos for condition. It is made of split oak.

It is signed COWGILL on the handle. I believe this basket belonged to someone named Cowgill.
