Fine Antique Old French Impressionist Cityscape Oil Painting, Signed 1930s

  

This is a lovely and finely rendered Antique Old French Impressionist Cityscape Oil Painting on canvas, by obscure and little known French Impressionist painter, E. I could not find much information on this artist, but perhaps you know more about them or their work? This piece depicts a vibrant and delicately rendered French cityscape scene, with a small church, tall trees, and a cobblestone street to the right of the image. Soupat in the lower right corner. Additionally, there is a stenciled notation of: "4F" on the right stretcher bar of the verso.

Approximately 9 1/2 x 13 inches. Good condition for age, with some light staining to the canvas that may be easily cleanable. Acquired in Southern Texas, United States.
