C1900 Antique Cigar Shop Fisherman Lighter Electric Wall Plaque"Old Salt". Stunning antique advertising wall mounted lighter from a public bar, tobacconists, shop or similar. Good detailed quality casting of Old Salt/Mariner/Fisherman with glass eyes smoking a pipe mounted on wood plaque. Press the button on his chin and his eyes light up....

Originally there would of been a heating element in his pipe for lighting cigars etc This has been removed at sometime. The pipe is moveable (left to right) and can be positioned at the time for easy lighting of your cigar etc.. He is made of a bronzed pewter/tin or spelter. Superb old advertising item ready to hang.

Either way it is a beautiful old piece that would grace any collection. There are marks, nicks, dinks old polish residue etc with a great aged worn patina. All nothing major, but noted.

Has had rewiring and is earthed. Only his eyes light up. The mounting bolts inside have been repaired.

Takes small bayonet bulb which is supplied. Good size measures overall just under 9"tall (not including pipe) and 8.25"across with an overall depth of around 4 to the end of his pipe.

Weighs 1.370 kilos unwrapped. This is a great addition to any collection. Has usual marks/scuffs etc commensurate with age and use. Will display well in any period, contemporary setting.
