Antique Pennsylvania Dutch Wedding/Hope Chest made from poplar, sponge painted dark mustard sides and black top. Original hardware, with original lock and key.

SIgned on back in old German script, dated 1873. Lid opens and closes with no noticeable play, original key was in till. There are some scrapes and scratches, but blend in very well (please see photos and zoom in if needed). Dimensions are 45" wide, x 20 1/2" deep, x 24 3/4 tall.
