For sale is an EXCEPTIONALLY NICE AND SUPER EARLY 1700s 18th century early American round shape small bentwood Box with all Original surface. You can see that it is constructed using small irregular shaped hand wrought nails and square head copper tacks. Each nail is different in size and head shape.
They look OLD and authentic to its age! The bentwood is thick and well made compare to other pantry boxes I have seen.
This box is a creation of highly skilled craftsmanship. It is made to store important personal items. NOT the same as a factory made cheese box. It is amazing that there is no repairs, chips, or damages on this old box. Amazing patina and very desirable small size!Overall, an exceptionally well-preserved early American folk art that should not be missed by any serious collectors of early Americana/ antique wooden boxes/ antique primitives. It measures approximately 4 in diameter and 2.5 tall.
Age appropriate wears is to be expected. Please check photos from all sides for detailed condition.
