It is signed in the lower right but the signature is illegible. It is lovely portrait of a northeast fisherman obviously done by a skilled hand. I wish I knew more about the artist. The light and detail is exquisite. It is not dated but looks early 20th century. Several pin-size areas of paint loss. One small area of restoration visible only upon very close inspection.
