WW2 Japanese Army Samurai Sword -WWII IJA Gunto/Combat Cover/Old/Antique-SIGNED

  

To be kept informed of St. 1 Japanese WWII Army Officer's katana available. This World War 2 Japanese katana would make an important acquisition for any collection. This WW2 sword has a leather combat cover--indicating carry by an IJA Army Officer. There is a Seki stamp on the nakago/tang.

The blade measures 25 3/8 from the blade tip to the bottom of the notch in the habaki. This sword has a wavy hamon/temper line.

The menuki are fu dogs. The blade has no nicks.

There are occasional minor scratches on the blade. The mounts are in nice condition. Just the drag area of the leather combat cover has wear.

The snaps on the combat cover are still functional (doesn't happen all that often on 75 year old leather). Croix Blades buys Japanese swords!
