It is painted on plywood. Artists use plywood as a support for easel paintings to replace traditional canvas or cardboard. As I know, the painting surface not cracking easily on this material. It was a reason , I defined it as painting from the late 1800.. But what is indubitable, if it would painted on canvas, and early 1800, I would specify the price 10 times higher.
